12V Batteries
Gerbing has a wide range of batteries so that every product can be used autonomeously with a 12 volt battery. For the 12 volt heated clothing range we have especially developed the most powerfull battery possible. The B12V-5200 and the B12V-8000 which has a stunning 8 Amps of power inside to keep your heated clothing warm for hours and hours.
The B12V-5200 and the B12V-8000 are relatively bigger batteries and are optional batteries to power your heated garment. The 5200 and the 8000 battery comes with a handy belt which you can put around your waist so you can store the battery. The B12V-1400KIT is especially designed to use for the hybrid heated gloves in the 12 volt heated gloves section. The B12V-1400 can be stored in a designated pocket in the cuff of the longer gloves like the XR-12 heated gloves and the T-12 heated gloves. On the highest setting they will give the heated gloves power for about 1 hour, and on the lowest setting up till 3 hours.
The B12V-5200 and the B12V-8000 are designed to extend the heat output on the heated gloves or heated socks, but also can they power a heated jacket. Note that the 12 volt heated jacket liner is designed for motorcycle use, so will give an enormeous heat output when not riding in cold temperatures or high speed. That also means that the 6,5 Amps drawing heated jacket will be empty in 45-50 minutes when connected to a B12V-5200 which has 5,2 Amps. With the 8 Amps battery it will give you aproximaly 75 minutes on full heat. On the lowest setting up till 3 hours. Both the 5200 and the 8000 have a remote controle included so you can adjust the temperature with a simple push on the button.
Two powerful rechargeable 12 volt Lithium-ion batteries with a microprocessor inside. These batteries can optionally be used for our T-12 heated gloves and XR-12 heated gloves. These batteries can be stored in the cuff of the gloves and are ideal for commuters. Both batteries have a built-in temperature controller with 3 different settings. Red is 100% heat output, Orange is 66% heat output and yellow is 33% heat ouput. A LED-indicator shows how much power is left in the battery.
When the battery is plugged into a 12 Volt product, push and hold “power” button to turn on
To change the temperature of the product push and hold “power” again to change power level.
The batteries lights will display the batteries current power level. 100% (red) indicates the highest.
The power level push-button indicator can only be activated when connected to a product.
To check the batteries remaining power first make sure it is unplugged from the heated gloves. Push and hold “power” and the LED lights on the battery will indicate how much power is left.
Size: 48x70x21 mm and each battery weighs 135 grams.
Each battery is guaranteed for 500 charging cycles and a dual charger is also included in the B12V-1400KIT. The output of the B12V-1400 battery is 11,1 volt. A good conditioned motorcycle battery will give you 13.8 Volt when the engine is running. This means that the heated gloves in this red section will be warmer on a running motorcycle connected with a battery hook-up than connected to the portable batteries.
Sometimes customer asks us why the runtime of the 7volt heated gloves are longer than the batteries of the 12 volt heated gloves. The answer to that is simple. Because the 12 volt battery must be able to power a 12 volt glove, there can be put less amps into a hybrid battery for the hybrid heated gloves. The B12V-1400 battery has a capacaty of 1400 mah (or 1.4 Amps) where the B7V-2500 have a capacaty of 2500 mah (or 2,5 Amps).

The 5.2 Amps Lithium Polymer 12 Volt battery only weighs 270 grams and can be connected to Gerbing’s heated clothing which doesn’t draw more than 6.5 amps (one heated jacket). The max output of the battery is 6.5 Amps. The battery comes with a neoprene belt to store the battery. The latest version of the B12V-5200 has a built in USB-port so you can charge your navigation system, smart phone or your mobile phone.
The battery has a 3 level setting for regulating the heat. If you want to you can use the remote control, which you can hang to your keys. A LED-indicator shows how much power is left in the batteries. The B12V-5200CG charger will charge the battery in approximately 5 hours. The battery’s life is guaranteed for hundreds of charging cycles.
To connect the heated gloves to the B12V-5200 battery, you will need a long Y-cable. This Y-cable is a standard item with the 12 volt heated socks. The Junior controller which comes with every pair of 12 volt gloves will not work on this particular battery.

The battery will only work when connected to a heated product. When you put the plug of the heated garment in the battery, push for about 2 seconds the “up” button. You will see the digit 1, 2 or 3 apear. This is your power setting. After aproximately 3 seconds the digit will change into 1-9 which shows how much power is left inside the battery.

Powerful rechargeable 12V 8 Amps Lithium-Ion battery, with microprocessor technology. The 8 Amps Lithium Polymer 12 Volt battery, is the most powerful battery in our line of batteries. With this battery a belt and charger is included. The battery weighs only 600 grams, is very small and can power all 12 volt heated products of Gerbing.
The battery will charge in approximately 5 hours and is guaranteed for about five hundred of charging cycles. As of all other Li-Po batteries from Gebring this 12V-800KIT doesn’t have a memory effect in the battery. You can charge it at all time, you don’t need to draw it completely empty. In fact we recomend to charge it whenever you can, because that will keep the battery in the best possible condition. Make sure you always keep the battery 25% charged, because this will keep the runtime of the battery higher.

The battery only works when connected to a heated product. If you put the plug of the heated garment inside the battery, you can push the + button for about 2 seconds. You than will see the digit 3, which means this is the power output of the battery. With the – button you can lower the power output to 2 or 1, to make the heated garment less warm. The lower the setting, the longer the runtime of the battery. After a couple of seconds the digits will change into 1-9 to show you how much power is left inside the battery.
Just convince yourself that you choose the right part of the section. The 12 volt heated clothing is much warmer at full power than the products in the 7 volt section. All heated gloves from the yellow 7 volt section, comes with a small portable battery, where in the 12 volt section you have to buy an extra one.
The handy part of the B12V-800 is that it comes with a nice remote controll, so you don’t have to take the battery out of the belt to adjust the heat.
